A client required a temporary vapor recovery solution for an ethanol storage tank, designed to capture tank-breathing emissions and prevent atmospheric release during operations.
Client: BASF
Duration: 72 hours
Location: Antwerp, Belgium
Results: Zero environmental emissions
The Challenge
A client required a temporary vapor recovery solution for an ethanol storage tank, designed to capture tank-breathing emissions and prevent atmospheric release during operations.
Equipment Deployed
A mobile cryogenic Vapor Recovery Unit (VRU) was installed.
Vapors were directed by a blower to the VRU when tank pressure reached a set threshold. The unit condensed and captured ethanol vapors, ensuring recovery instead of emission.
Results Achieved
Vapors fully recovered, no product loss.
Condensate returned to the client for reuse.
Compliance achieved with all safety and emission standards.
Operation completed in 7.75 hours – safe, flexible, and efficient.
OPEX-only solution, avoiding CAPEX investment for the client.
Equipment Deployed
8 Mobile Degassing Units
Advanced Vapor Treatment Systems
Real-time Monitoring Equipment
