OPERATOR

We are hiring operators across multiple experience levels, from mechanically inclined entry-level candidates to experienced industrial field operators and senior lead-level personnel. Final position level, responsibilities and compensation will be based on experience, certifications, safety judgment, technical ability and demonstrated field competency.

Key responsibilites

Depending on experience level, responsibilities may include:

  • Assist with or perform rig-up, rig-down, mobilization, demobilization and equipment staging

  • Set up and operate pumps, hoses, valves, filtration units, temporary connections, meters and related field equipment

  • Monitor and document pressure, flow, temperature, differential pressure, O2, LEL and other job-specific readings

  • Support or perform sampling, labeling, basic chain-of-custody documentation and contamination-control practices

  • Perform filter/media changes, cartridge or bag swaps, strainer cleaning, basic maintenance and equipment readiness checks

  • Follow job plans, SOPs, JSAs, permits, customer site rules and company safety expectations

  • Participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, pre-job briefs and Stop Work Authority when unsafe conditions are identified

  • Maintain clean, organized, audit-ready work areas and equipment

  • Communicate clearly with supervisors, leads, coworkers, customer personnel, terminal staff, vessel crews and site representatives

  • Complete logs, checklists, timesheets, equipment reports and job documentation accurately and on time

  • Escalate equipment issues, abnormal readings, safety concerns, product-quality risks and customer requests outside the approved scope

Senior or lead-level operators may also be responsible for directing field crews, coordinating with client representatives, managing startup/shutdown activities, leading shift handovers, supporting job planning, controlling scope changes and overseeing nitrogen/inerting/degassing operations within approved procedures.

Certifications

Current certifications are preferred. Candidates without all credentials may still be considered if they can obtain them quickly.

  • TWIC card, or ability to obtain before deployment

  • HAZWOPER 24/40, depending on role and job requirements

  • Respirator medical clearance and fit test, where applicable

  • HASC / local safety council credentials, where applicable

  • Site-specific customer training as required

Requırements

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean / acceptable motor vehicle record

  • Reliable transportation

  • Ability to pass drug and alcohol screening

  • Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with pumps, hoses, valves, fittings, gauges, tools and industrial equipment

  • Willingness to work rotating shifts, nights, weekends, holidays, overtime and travel as needed

  • Comfortable working outdoors in industrial environments, including heat, humidity, rain, marine terminals, chemical facilities and customer sites

  • Able to lift/carry up to 50 lb, climb ladders/stairs, stand or walk for extended periods and work while wearing required PPE

  • Clear spoken and written communication

  • Strong safety mindset, attention to detail and willingness to follow procedures

  • Ability to document work accurately and communicate issues before they become larger problems

Experience

Experience in any of the following areas is helpful but not required for all levels:

    • Terminal, refinery, chemical plant, marine, pipeline, oilfield, industrial services, military, utility, maintenance, or mechanical field work

    • Pumps, hoses, valves, filtration systems, transfer operations, gauges and troubleshooting
    • Chemical handling, liquid bulk transfer, contamination control, or product-quality work

    • Nitrogen, inerting, vapor control, degassing, purge operations or gas monitoring

    • LOTO, confined space interface, hot work permits, JSAs, gas testing, LEL/O2 monitoring and industrial PPE

    • Forklift operation or basic rigging awareness

    • Shift logs, field documentation, equipment inspections and customer site coordination

  • Entry-level candidates should bring mechanical aptitude, reliability and a strong safety attitude

  • Experienced candidates should be able to operate established systems, troubleshoot routine issues, maintain accurate logs and work with minimal supervision

  • Senior candidates should be able to lead crews, manage field execution, communicate professionally with customers, control scope creep and maintain documentation that supports safety, billing and post-job review
