ELECTROMECHANICAL ENGINEER

Key responsibilites

  • Oversee engineering and implementation projects from concept to commissioning.
  • Translate commercial and operational requirements into clear technical scopes and implementation strategies.
  • Develop project definitions, cost estimates, schedules, and risk registers.
  • Manage project budgets, forecasts, and change management.
  • Monitoring and ensuring compliance with internal quality standards, industry standards, and legal requirements.
  • Working with your colleagues to oversee safety, quality, and environmental performance throughout the entire project lifecycle.
  • Serving as the point of contact for internal and external audits related to ongoing projects.
  • Proactively monitor changing regulations and translate them into project requirements.
  • Defining technical requirements for tanks, piping, pumps, automation, and auxiliary systems.
  • Resolving technical issues during design, construction, and commissioning.
  • Actively contributing to innovation and process improvements within the organization – new technologies, more efficient work methods, and sustainable solutions.
  • Monitoring activities with a focus on safety, quality, and planning.
  • Coordinating with operations to minimize operational disruptions during execution.
  • Serving as the technical liaison between commercial, operations, HSSE, and external partners/stakeholders.
  • Providing support for permitting processes and regulatory compliance.

Requırements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a technical field (electromechanics, electrical engineering, or equivalent).
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in the maritime, industrial, or (petro)chemical industry.
  • Knowledge of relevant standards and regulations (ATEX, PED, LVD, MR, etc.).
  • Owner’s mindset: you drive projects to a successful conclusion, not just to the design phase.
  • Strong decision-making skills under uncertainty and time pressure.
  • Clear communicator with both technical and non-technical counterparts.
  • High safety awareness and personal responsibility for HSSE.
  • Hold a Class B driver’s license; willingness to travel to our other locations.
